Some updated pictures!

Kolby's 1st School Picture, Konyr picking a pumpkin at the patch, me at my Dirty Girl Mud Run, and Blake and I at Matt's cabin!

Been a long time...

... I shouldn't left you without a dope beat to step to. NAME THAT SONG! Haha only kidding, good jam though. Anyway it has definitely been a while since my last post! We have been soooo busy and I don't feel like I am ever going to get caught up!
Good news, Blake got a great job and he signed up for Army active reserves. I am so proud of him, he truly supports our family. He has also started school, pursuing his degree in criminal justice. What a man what a man what a mighty good man. Man, I am really in the musical mode tonight.
Kolby has been doing FANTASTIC! His fine motor skills in his left arm have really been improving. He has also been loving pre-k! He brings home little crafts everyday and they just make me melt.
Konyr, also know as konzilla, is a MONSTER. He climbs all over everything and he destroys everything! I can't keep up with him, praise the Lord Kolby can! He cut 6 teeth in the last 2 months, so we have had some rough nights but it looks like we are finally back on track.
I have just been keeping up with the boys and trying to find a hobby. I think I am going to try to learn how to sew. There are so many cool things I want to make! In the meantime, I stay busy with school, only one more year until I am DONE with my teaching degree WOOHOOO!!!! Now we are getting ready for our (my) most favorite time of the year! I played Christmas music yesterday and it was awesome hehe.

The Prater Family is whole again!

Yes, my honey is home and the boys have their daddy back. It is sooo wonderful. My husband is such a huge help and the boys just LOVE having him around. He makes us all so incredibly happy, I don't know how we ever managed without him.

California was a BLAST! The boys were awesome and really had a great time. Disneyland was a huge hit and the boys loved all the characters, rides, food and craziness. They both dipped their heads and toes into the ocean while relaxing at Newport Beach. We truly enjoyed some overdue family time and our first vacation ever! Unfortunately, the trip ended with Konyr getting pretty sick (vomiting and fever for the last 3 days which we would later find out was roseola) but he was a real trooper :)

Now it is back to reality. Blake is starting college in two weeks and he is seriously on the job hunt. Kolby starts Pre-K on Tuesday and I am a wreck thinking about my little Kolbsters going to school. So much to do sooo little time...

1 more week!

We are officially down to 7 days until daddy is home. Unfortunately those 7 days consist of 3 weeks worth of homework, packing for Disneyland, trying to get the house back in order after all this kid playing this week, and deciding rather or not to enroll Kolby in pre-K or not. Stressed is an understatement. Needless to say, we are soooo excited!!! I need to start packing this weekend, I don't know if we have enough luggage!

On a personal note, I am officially 45 pounds down. I can't wait to surprise the honey! I have been keeping it on the down low on Facebook and on the phone so he should be surprised :) I still have a bit to go but hopefully before Christmas I will be down to my pre-Kolby weight. On that note, it's off to the gym for me. As soon as I learn how to post pictures I will, just for Tera!

What was I thinking?

As if my husband's arrival in two weeks isn't an emotional roller coaster in itself, I thought it would be a good idea to plan a family vacation for two days after he gets home to California. Furthermore, to keep myself occupied until he gets here (Lord knows Kolby and Konyr don't occupy me at all) I have accepted the task of babysitting a 1yr old and a 6yr old for the next week and a half. Which reminds me, I really should look into a rehab facility, clearly my crack smoking is out of control lately! On a good note, I am in the last week of my class (only to start another on Monday) and consistently rocking a 98% :D

Although, it sounds like a whole bunch of craziness, the boys always bring me back to reality. Nothing in the world matters when they are playing together, when Kolby comes to me and says, "Mommy I hold you like a baby?!" or when Konyr insists on unplugging the vacuum and attempting to plug it back in on his own. Over the next two weeks, with countless deep breaths, we will focus on the joy and excitement that comes with welcoming daddy home and take everything else in stride :) Happy week y'all!

Here goes nothing...

Finally, I have accepted there will never be enough time to do half the things I wish to. However, this does not make for a very good excuse. So here I am. Keeping friends and family updated on our little family and what is keeping us busy.
